Waafir combines a secure, enterprise-grade virtual data room with an autonomous AI agent framework. Data rooms should do more than store files — so Waafir gives you an AI workforce that analyzes, organizes, redacts, translates, and answers questions, letting you skip the grunt work and close faster.

Being AI-native runs in two directions: an agent workforce that works inside your data room, and an open interface that lets your own AI operate that room from the outside. This post walks both.

An AI workforce for your deals

Every Waafir feature is built around one question: can AI do this instead of a human? Today that means a bench of specialised agents working across your deal:

These agents run on an extensible framework, so new capabilities ship regularly and teams can build their own for specific deal workflows.

Operable by your own AI

That workforce lives inside Waafir. The other half of being AI-native is letting the AI you already use reach in. Waafir exposes its data room — plus redaction and translation — as Model Context Protocol servers, so a client like Claude Desktop or Cursor can list and search files, manage folders, redact text, and translate on your behalf.

Access is never anonymous: every connection authenticates with a scoped Personal Access Token, bounded to read, write, or admin — and, if you want, to specific data rooms. Your own AI operates the room within exactly the limits you set.

Secure by default

Confidentiality is never a trade-off. Waafir is built on bank-grade encryption, strict access controls, and zero data leakage to third-party AI APIs:

  • AES-256 encryption at rest and in transit, with two-factor authentication.
  • Per-user, per-session dynamic watermarking and a secure in-browser viewer.
  • Role-based permissions down to the file level, and a full audit trail of every view, download, and action.
  • An isolated data perimeter — all AI processing runs inside our infrastructure, and you choose the region your data lives in.

Where we're going

Today, Waafir is the most AI-capable data room we know how to build — but document management is just the starting point. We are building towards full deal execution: a platform where deals move from discovery to signed documents without ever leaving Waafir.
