Quickstart

This guide takes you from sign-up to a live data room with your own documents uploaded, the AI agents processing them, and your first investor invited. The flow takes approximately five minutes.

Requirements: an email address you can access and at least one document to upload (PDF, Word, Excel, CSV, or image).

Step 1 — Create your account

Go to app.waafir.io and sign up with a work email and password. No credit card is required. Confirm your address using the verification email to unlock the rest of the flow.

Step 2 — Complete onboarding

On first sign-in, Waafir collects the essentials to set up your organization: organization name, acceptance of the terms, and an optional brand color and logo for investor-facing pages.

If you were invited to an existing organization, Waafir detects this on the onboarding screen and lets you join directly. No invite token is required — only the email address the invitation was sent to. Otherwise, you become the owner of a new organization.

Step 3 — Create your first data room

In the data room area, select Create data room and give it a name your investors will recognize, such as the deal or fund name. The data room is the secure container for everything that follows: documents, permissions, investor access, and analytics are all scoped to it.

You can create additional data rooms later — one per deal or investor group is common — but one is sufficient to begin.

Step 4 — Upload your documents

Drag files onto the data room or use the upload control. Waafir accepts PDFs, Word documents, spreadsheets, CSVs, and images. The AI workforce begins processing each file automatically on upload:

  • Organize proposes a folder structure based on document content.
  • Summarize generates a concise summary of each long document, so you and your investors can grasp the key points without reading every page.
  • Q&A indexes the content so the assistant can answer questions grounded in your documents.

No manual trigger is required; processing starts within seconds of upload completion. Larger files take longer to process and continue in the background while you proceed.

Step 5 — Invite your first investor

Open the investor controls for the data room, enter the investor's email address, and select their permitted actions — view only, view and download, or a more permissive role for trusted collaborators. Send the invitation.

The investor receives a secure email link. On opening it, they are guided through any required steps — accepting an NDA if one is configured — before reaching your documents. You retain control over exactly what each investor can see and do.

Result

You now have a secure data room, documents organized and summarized by the AI workforce, and an investor invited with the precise access you intended. Every subsequent investor action — each view, each download, and time spent per document — is recorded, so you can identify who is genuinely engaged.
